Tigers Shred Pale Hose in 3 of 4

April 29, 1982
CHICAGO -- Two costly errors in the first 2 innings led to 7 unearned runs off Dennis Lamp (0-2) and a 9-0 Tigers lead after 2 for starter and winner Larry Pashnick (1-1). Detroit went on to win 9-3. Sweet Lou Whitaker banged out 3 hits to pace the Bengal offense.

April 30, 1982
CHICAGO -- Milt Wilcox (2-2) tossed 7.2 innings of very good baseball in another big Detroit win, 10-1. Lou Whitaker (2) went 4-for-5 with 3 runs scored and a homer. Enos Cabell contributed 3 hits and 3 RBI, including a 2-run double to highlight a 6-run Tiger 6th.

May 1, 1982
CHICAGO -- Dan Petry (3-1) pitched 7.2 innings as Detroit easily won again 6-1. Larry Herndon was the offensive star with 4 hits and 3 RBI.

May 2, 1982
CHICAGO -- LaMarr Hoyt (2-0) hurled a CG as Chicago salvaged a win in the series with another blowout, 10-2. Greg Luzinski knocked in 3 runs with a pair of singles to lead the South-siders.
