Reds take 3 of 4 from Dodgers

May 22, 1981:  The Reds crack out 15 hits on their way to a 12-5 win.  Foster goes 4 for 5 with 4 RBI including a 3 run HR.  Griffey also has 4 hits with 2 doubles.  Dodgers Ron Cey also hit a 3 run HR.  LaCoss (2-5) gets the win while veteran Reuss (2-4) is saddled with the loss.

May 23, 1981:  A 3 run 8th gives the Reds a win over Fernando mania, 6-3.  Foster was on base 4 times with 2 hits and 2 walks, scoring 2 runs.  Knight had 3 RBI.  Baker was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI for L.A.  Hume (3-1) picked up the win in relief while Valenzuela (4-5) was the loser.

May 24, 1981:  Dodgers broke open a close game with 3 runs in the 9th to win game one of the twinbill 7-2.  Cey went 3 for 5 with 4 RBI and 2 HR.  Welch (6-1) garnered the win while Seaver (4-5) suffered the setback.

May 24, 1981:  A 6 run 6th helped give Cincinnati the 11-6 win and series win.  Foster continued his hot hitting (.393) going 2 for 4 with a 2B and a HR and 4 RBI.  Griffey added 3 hits in 5 atbats and drove in 3.  Dodger catcher Scioscia went 3 for 5 with 3 RBI.  Berenyi (2-2) picked up the win while Goltz saw his
early season record drop to 0-3)
