Bucs - Bravos split 2 in Steeltown in front of less than 14,000 combined (Real life)

May 19, 1981
PITTSBURGH -- A 5,514 paid attendance looks ridiculously small when spread out around a multi-purpose stadium used for football and baseball. . . I'm just saying. But such was the case in real life, but who could blame them when the Pirates defeat the Braves 11-8 (ARAIG) in a game resembling something from Rookie League. The Bucs committed 3 errors and the Braves, 2. No pitcher was effective, except Victor Cruz (1) who came on to record the 27th out and earn the save. Steve Nicoscia had the best game at the dish with 2 singles good for 4 RBI.

PITTSBURGH -- Brian Asseltine's RBI single, plating Greg Hubbard in the 2nd, turned out to be the only run of the game. Bob Walk (3-0), Larry Bradford and Rick Camp (5) combined on the 1-0 Bravos whitewashing the Bucs.
