June 25, 1982
SEATTLE -- Tom Paciorek's (8) solo blast to straightaway CF off Bill Caudill (4-6) lifted the White Sox to a 3-2 win in the Kingdome.  LaMarr Hoyt (6-6) tossed 8 strong innings for the win. Salome Barojas (12) recorded the final 3 outs for the save. Steve Kemp recorded 3 hits for the Sox. Bruce Bochte and Rick Sweet did the same for the Mariners.

SEATTLE -- Mike Squires, Vance Law and Bill Almon, the bottom third of the Sox order, each banged out 3 hits as part of a 17-hit attack in a 6-3 White Sox winner. Despite racking up 11 hits through 6 innings, the Sox failed to dent the scoreboard against Gaylord Perry (3-9). For some reason when a big hit was needed, the ball just missed the bat? However, the Ancient Mariner did tire in the 7th and the Pale Hose hung up a 5-spot. Relievers Ed Vande Berg and Mike Stanton did not contain things very well. Meanwhile, Chico Escarrega (2-1) took over for an injured Britt Burns and earned the win. Barojas (13) retired the last 5 outs for the save.

SEATTLE -- Bud Bulling (1) sent a Freddie Solomon (0-1) 9th inning offering into the LF stands to give Seattle a 1-0 walk-off win in the finale. Solomon and Caudill (5-6) were the pitchers of record after marvelous mound performances from the M's Gene Nelson and Steve Trout of the ChiSox. Tony Bernanzard had 2 hits for the visitors to extend his hitting streak to 14.
