CHICAGO -- Make it 10 in a row for the Angels as they pound the hometown White Sox 10-1 in the opener of this 4-game set. Doug DeCinces (16) drove in 4 runs with 3 hits, including a 2-run bomb. Fred Lynn also collected 3 hits and Reggie, Reggie drove in 3 with 2 hits. Steve Renko (4-1) scattered 9 hits over 7.1 IP for the win. Britt Burns (6-4) was sent to the showers after 4 IP.

CHICAGO -- The Angels are singing every note to near perfection. Bruce Kison and Doug Corbett (1-1) combined on a 5-hit shutout as California blanked Chicago 3-0. Actually, Kison allowed all 5 hits in 5.2 IP. Corbett was nearly perfect in his 3.1. A pair of Sox errors led to two runs scored in the Halos 7th with Lynn and DeCinces knocking in runs. Bobby Grich (7) blasted a solo HR in the 8th off Richard Dotson (4-6).

CHICAGO -- Don Baylor went 5-6 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored to lead the Halos to a 9-5 win, their 12th consecutive. I'm starting to wonder how this team didn't win the pennant. Ken Forsch (8-4) went the distance for the win. Bob Boone chipped in 3 hits.

CHICAGO -- The Angels are other-worldly!! They just won their 13th straight game on June 13. Geoff Zahn (7-4) pitched a CG, yielding just 1 run on 4 hits for a 4-1 win. Five different Halos hitters contributed 2 hits apiece with Lynn driving in 2. Sixty games into the season, the Angels are playing at a .650 clip. Break 'em up!
