Bruce Thomas graduates High School and Brewers Take 3 of 4 from ChiSox

May 13, 1982
CHICAGO -- Mike Caldwell (4-1) was strong for the full 9 on the bump and Milwaukee's Brew Crew took care of the rest with 12 his in a 5-1 victory. Five different Brewers rang up 2 hits each. Ted Simmons 2-run single in the B8 sealed the deal. LaMarr Hoyt (3-1) suffered his first defeat for the White Sox.

May 14, 1982
CHICAGO -- Greg Luzinski (7,8) and the rest of his South-Side Hitmen were not just baning the walls at Comiskey Park, they were bashing the ball over them. In addition to The Bull's taters, Steve Kemp (8) and Ron Leflore (2) also went yard in a 12-3 Sox romp. the beneficiary on the hill was Richard Dotson (3-3). Jim Slaton (0-1) took the loss for Milwaukee, but it was really Dwight Bernard who took the brunt of the beating. Luzinski finished with 4 hits and 4 RBI. "Wimpy" Tom Paciorek chipped in 3. Meanwhile, 18-year old Bruce Thomas was oblivious as he celebrated his high school graduation with friends.

May 15, 1982
CHICAGO -- Moose Haas (2-1) had the answers for Milwaukee on the hill today with CG scattering 7 hits in a 7-3 Brewers victory. Meanwhile Harvey's Wallbangers pounded out 10 hits, 3 from Charlie Moore. Robin Yount (6) put up a 4-3-2-2 line. Britt Burns (3-2) was pummeled early and left after giving up 6 runs in 4.2 IP.

May 16, 1982
CHICAGO -- Robin Yount's (7) double, home run, 4 hits and 4 RBI, ensured that this one was over before the halfway point. Randy Lerch (2-4) was magnificent for 8 IP before surrendering to fatigue in the 9th. The Pale Hose plated a meaningless 3 in the B9, but the Brew Crew walked away with a 10-3 game win and a series win. Reserve catcher Ned Yost also contributed 3 hits.
