CHICAGO -- Dennis Lamp (10-1) improved on his league-leading ERA with 8.1 innings of shut-out ball in a 5-0 Chicago win. Greg Luzinski (38) added to his league-leading home run and RBI totals with a 2-run shot in the 1st. The ChiSox are in need of every one of the games in this series with Texas having swept Seattle.
September 29, 1981
CHICAGO -- Don Baylor's (22) grand slam in the T10 won the game 11-7 for California after the White Sox had battled back with 3 runs in the B9 to tie it at 7-7.
September 30, 1981
CHICAGO -- Britt Burns (8-7) fired a 1-hitter and blanked the Halos 2-0. Luzinski banged out a pair of hits and scored a run. Tony Bernazard (4) delivered a solo shot in the 6th.
