Reds and Braves split a pair

April 21, 1981:  Danny Driessen singled with two out in the ninth plating Ken Griffey to give Cincinnati a 3-2 win.  Mario Soto went eight strong innings allowing two unearned runs but did not figure in the decision.  Tommy Hume (1-0) threw a scoreless ninth to pick up the win.  Rick Camp (0-1) suffered the setback.

April 22, 1981:  Eddie Miller went 2 for 4 with a triple and two RBI to lead the Braves past the Reds 5-2.  Ageless Gaylord Perry (2-0) went eight and two-thirds innings to pick up the win.  Rick Camp picked up the save retiring the final batter.  Perry also went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.  Mike LaCoss (0-2) was the losing pitcher.
