PHILLIES TAKE A PAIR FROM BRAVES

The Philadelphia Phillies continued their winning ways sweeping a short two game series in Atlanta.

The Philadelphia Phillies outlasted the Atlanta Braves 4-2 in a 15 inning affair.  With the score tied 2-2 in the 15th, the Phillies scored 2 runs on a double by Bake McBride and a sac fly by Mike Schmidt. Bake McBride led the Phillies attack with 4 hits and 3 RBI.

The Braves managed only 2 runs on 14 hits, leaving 11 men on base.  Back in the lineup after an extended stay on the DL, Bob Horner led the offense with 3 hits.
