M's Outlast Pale Hose

May 16, 1980 at Chicago – Steve Trout (3-1) pitched 8 1/3 yielding just 3 runs and Jim Morrison collected 3 hits to lead the ChiSox to a 9-3 winner.

May 17, 1980 at Chicago – In a dandy southpaw pitching duel, Seattle’s Rick Honeycutt (3-3) bested Britt Burns (1-4), 2-1. Honeycutt went the distance, fanning 3, walking no one and scattering 6 hits.


May 18, 1980 at Chicago – Byron McLaughlin (1-1) tossed 5 innings of relief for the win as the Navs outlasted the White Sox, 6-5 in 14 innings. The winning run scored when a dead-armed Ross Baumgarten (2-4) walked Larry Cox with the bases jammed to plate Bruce Bochte in the T14.
