Burns (1-4), 2-1. Honeycutt went
the distance, fanning 3, walking no one and scattering 6 hits.

Chicago – Byron McLaughlin (1-1) tossed 5 innings of relief for the win as
the Navs outlasted the White Sox, 6-5 in 14 innings. The winning run scored
when a dead-armed Ross Baumgarten (2-4)
walked Larry Cox with the bases
jammed to plate Bruce Bochte in the
T14.
