Chicago – Chet Lemon singled in Greg Pryor in the B15th to hand Chicago a
3-2 win. Ed Farmer (1-2) picked up
his first win in relief. Joey McLaughlin
(0-4) remained winless for the Blue Jays.

Chicago – Paul Mirabella (1-8) and Ken
Kravec (0-9) both entered the contest 0-8. Someone had to blink, and it was
Kravec in a 5-0 Toronto win. Mirabella was stone-faced, and he stoned the White Sox on 1-hit
through 9 complete. Mike Squires 6th
inning knock was the lone blemish on Mirabella’s
(he sounds like an artist, eh?) masterpiece.
