Milwaukee Keeps Slim Lead In AL East With Sweep Of Seattle

After dropping 2 of 3 to the Mariners just 5 days ago the Brewers came home to County Stadium
with revenge on their mind.  And retribution is exactly what they got.  Milwaukee outscored Seattle 17-4 in the series recording 36 hits and 4 home runs.  Jim Gantner went 6 for 6 ( 2 doubles) in the first two games of the series before being rested in game 3.  The Brewers also had 2 of their 3 starting pitchers go the distance and Rickey Keaton (1-0, 0.00 ERA) went 8 complete, in his season debut, before handing it over to Bill Castro to finish things out.  The sweep of Seattle improves Milwaukee's record to 25-15 while the Mariners dropped to 18-27.
