White Sox are Royally Flushed

May 6, 1980 at Chicago – Larry Gura (4-2) goes the distance in a 6-4 Royals win. First four batter in KC lineup bang out 2 hits apiece with Frank White knocking in a pair. Greg Pryor went 4-4 for the ChiSox in a losing effort.

May 7, 1980 at Chicago – Frank White doubled and tripled and drove in 3 to lead KC to a 6-1 victory. Rich Gale (3-1) tossed 8 2/3 innings for the win.


May 8, 1980 at Chicago – It’s a clean sweep for the Royals. U.L. Washington knocked in two runs. Dan Quisenberry (3-1) clamped down the last 3 innings for the win in relief.
